5th ANNUAL RUN FOR RECOVERY 5K/10K
Join us Saturday, May 19th, 2018 for the 5th annual Run for Recovery 5K/10K fundraiser hosted in the heart of beautiful Gallatin Valley, Montana. Start your weekend with a morning dash, casual jaunt, or refreshing walk through Black Bull subdivision while soaking in 360 degree mountain views.
The start/finish line will be in the parking lot of The Commons at Baxter & Love (1794 Baxter Lane Bozeman, MT 59718). Your entry fee includes a performance race day running shirt, custom bib, Competitive Timing chip timing device, lunch, awards & door prizes. The race will commence at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by awards, lunch, door prizes, and fun. There will be categories by age and gender and also a walking/stroller division. We welcome the whole family to join us!
All proceeds from the race will support Alive Again Life Recovery Mission (AALRM). AALRM exists for the purpose of creating a safe Christian environment for individuals of all ages to fellowship, learn and heal from addiction and addiction-related effects. Our goal is to promote health and wellness by offering the opportunity to “Run for Recovery.”
SCHEDULE: We will try to stay on track. Really.
- 8:00 a.m.—on-site registration is available
- 9:10 a.m.—registration closes
- 9:15 a.m.—kids’ run
- 9:30 a.m.—10K start
- 9:35 a.m.—5K start
- 10:30 a.m.—awards, raffles, music
- 11:00 a.m.—lunch
PRE-RACE FESTIVITIES: Café M will be on site and has generously donated coffee and baked goods for those who want to arrive early and get prepared. We will be taking last-minute registrations on site until 9:10 a.m.
PARKING: There is plenty of parking available at The Commons.
5K/10K COURSE DESCRIPTION: 2018 will bring a new race course for both the 5K and the 10K. In the spirit of safety, we are rerouting to keep runners off of Love Lane. The majority of the course will run through Black Bull subdivision and Middle Creek. There will be flaggers at all major intersections making sure the course is marked and safe.
TIMING: Competitive Timing will be conducting our chip timing for the race.
COURSE AMENITIES: A restroom will be available inside The Commons building and at the starting line. Along the course, there are two additional restroom and water stations.
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING: Refreshments, food, prizes, and music will be provided while the race finishes. Awards will be given around 10:30 a.m.
LUNCH?!?: Yes, that’s right. We want you to be well nourished after the race, so we are providing lunch at no extra cost. Please stick around and join us for food, fun, music, and views of gorgeous Gallatin Valley.
KIDS’ ZONE: We will have a kids’ zone available to keep your youngsters occupied while you prep or recover from the race. While we will have supervisors in the area, we recommend your own adult supervision. We hope your kiddos find it fun!
RESULTS POSTING: Because our race is tech-friendly, you can check your results on your mobile device, online, or at timing station iPads right on site.
MEDICAL ATTENTION: Beartooth EMS will have a tent on site for any medicine needs. In addition, Prime Performance & Physio will be available for sports therapies.
